Recreational Tennis

  Red Ball · Level 1

Beginner

Designed for children who are new to tennis or have very limited tennis experience. Players learn the basic fundamentals of the game in a fun, active, and engaging environment using modified equipment and courts designed specifically for young children. This critical stage of development is presented in a style where fun is emphasized — using scaled-down equipment, mini nets, and easy-play balls to develop hand-eye coordination and racquet skills.

  Entry Criteria
  • New to tennis or less than one year of experience
  Red Ball · Level 2

Intermediate

For players who have developed basic tennis skills and can participate independently in group activities. Players are beginning to rally with greater consistency and understand the basic rules and objectives of tennis. Training focuses on improving rallying skills, movement, court positioning, and serving technique, with greater emphasis on balance, coordination, and tactical awareness through game-based learning.

  Entry Criteria
  • Can rally 4–6 balls with a coach or another player
  • Understands basic scoring and court boundaries
  • Demonstrates proper basic stroke technique
  • Able to follow directions and participate independently in group activities
  Red Ball · Level 3

Advanced / High Performance

Designed for motivated players who demonstrate strong technical skills, athletic ability, and a passion for tennis. Players are preparing for competition or already participating in entry-level tournaments. Training focuses on consistency, directional control, court coverage, point construction, and competitive mindset through match play and performance-based activities.

  Entry Criteria
  • Can consistently rally 8+ balls with players of similar ability
  • Solid technique on forehand, backhand, and volley — can serve overhand
  • Understands scoring and can play points independently
  • Shows strong focus, effort, and coachability
  • Demonstrates athletic movement and ability to sustain longer rallies
  • Recommended by a coach or successfully completes a player assessment

  Orange Ball · Level 1

Beginner

Designed for players transitioning from Red Ball tennis or those who are new to Orange Ball. Players are learning to rally more consistently, improve their movement, and become comfortable playing on a larger court with a faster ball. Sessions focus on confidence-building through games, cooperative rallying, and skill-based activities.

  Entry Criteria
  • Can rally 3–5 balls with a coach or another player
  • Understands basic tennis rules and court boundaries
  • Can start a point with an underhand or modified serve
  • Demonstrates basic forehand and backhand technique
  • Able to participate independently in a group lesson
  Orange Ball · Level 2

Intermediate

For players who can rally consistently and are becoming more comfortable playing points and matches. Players are developing greater control, movement efficiency, and an understanding of basic tactics. Match play and competitive situations are introduced regularly to help build confidence and game awareness.

  • Can rally 6–10 balls consistently with players of similar ability
  • Can serve overhand into the proper service box with reasonable consistency
  • Understands scoring and can play points independently
  • Demonstrates good court movement and recovery
  • Shows the ability to maintain focus throughout a lesson
  Orange Ball · Level 3

Advanced / High Performance

Designed for dedicated players who demonstrate strong technical and athletic skills and are preparing for, or already participating in, competitive tennis. Training emphasizes rally consistency, directional control, spin, point construction, serving effectiveness, and match strategy. Players will prepare for Green Ball tennis and tournament competition through advanced drills and structured match play.

  Entry Criteria
  • Can consistently rally 12+ balls with players of similar ability
  • Demonstrates reliable forehand, backhand, volley, and serve technique
  • Can sustain points while controlling direction and depth
  • Understands scoring, match procedures, and basic tactics
  • Shows strong athletic ability, focus, effort, and coachability
  • Recommended by a coach or successfully completes a player assessment

Beginner

Designed for players transitioning from Orange Ball tennis or those who are new to Green Ball. Players are becoming comfortable on a full-sized court and developing the consistency, movement, and confidence required to play longer rallies and points. Training builds strong technical fundamentals while developing a better understanding of scoring, positioning, and point play.

Intermediate

For players who can rally consistently, compete in practice matches, and are developing a greater understanding of strategy and tactical play. Players are building the skills necessary to transition successfully into regulation ball competition. Training emphasizes serving, returning, rally tolerance, offensive and defensive positioning, and tactical decision-making.

  • Can rally 10–15 balls consistently with players of similar ability
  • Demonstrates reliable technique on all major strokes
  • Can serve and return consistently during point play
  • Understands basic tactics — consistency, directional control, and court positioning
  • Can compete independently in practice matches and organized match-play activities
  Green Ball · Level 3

Advanced / High Performance

Designed for highly motivated players preparing to enter competitive pathways or already competing in tournaments. This level is the bridge to the Junior Excellence programs. Training focuses on point construction, shot selection, spin development, movement efficiency, serve and return effectiveness, competitive mindset, and match strategy in high-intensity sessions.

  Entry Criteria
  • Can consistently rally 18+ balls with pace, control, and direction
  • Demonstrates strong technique on forehand, backhand, volley, serve, and return
  • Can use topspin, directional control, and court positioning effectively
  • Understands match tactics and can construct points strategically
  • Competes successfully in match play and/or tournaments
  • Demonstrates strong work ethic, focus, coachability, and commitment to development
  • Recommended by a coach or successfully completes a player assessment

Players are developing the skills, confidence, and consistency required to rally, serve, and compete on a full-sized court. Training focuses on rally consistency, movement, serving, returning, court positioning, and basic tactical concepts.

  • Can rally 8–10 balls consistently with players of similar ability
  • Demonstrates fundamentals on forehand, backhand, volley, and serve
  • Understands scoring and can play points independently
  • Can serve and return consistently on a full court
  • Demonstrates basic tactical awareness and court positioning
  • Typically transitioning from Green Ball Level 2 or 3
  Regulation Ball · Level 2

Intermediate

Intended for players who can compete comfortably on a full court and are developing greater consistency, shot variety, and tactical awareness. Players are beginning to understand how to use their strengths and exploit opponents' weaknesses during points. Competitive drills and match play are integrated regularly to help players develop confidence and decision-making skills.

  • Can consistently rally 12–18 balls with players of similar ability
  • Demonstrates reliable technique on all major strokes
  • Can serve with consistency and directional control
  • Understands offensive and defensive court positioning
  • Can play organized matches independently and keep score accurately
  • Is entering or has experience in club leagues, ladders, or recreational tournaments
  Regulation Ball · Level 3

Advanced

Designed for players considering tournaments or pursuing a high-performance pathway. Players demonstrate strong technical, tactical, physical, and mental skills and are motivated to maximize their potential. A possible next step would be a High Performance Program. Training emphasizes point construction, shot tolerance, offensive and defensive transitions, mental toughness, and competitive performance.

  • Can consistently rally 20+ balls with pace, spin, and directional control
  • Demonstrates advanced technique on all major strokes
  • Can execute offensive and defensive patterns effectively
  • Uses spin, depth, angles, and court positioning strategically
  • Competes in tournaments or advanced competitive environments
  • Exceptional focus, work ethic, coachability, and commitment to development
  • Recommended by a coach or successfully completes a player assessment

High Performance Tennis

Premier Racquet Clubs - Junior High Performance Program is focused on creating champions, allowing our players to earn scholarships, and on developing skills and techniques that young players can use throughout their recreational and competitive futures.

The PRC High Performance program is designed for serious tennis players that are looking to raise their game. For these juniors our integrated development model allows us to develop all the skills necessary to have players reach their full potential.  On and off court support, high level peer competition, and annual planning are key to ensure a positive experience. When placing players into the program our top-notch professional staff will evaluate: age, skill level, OTA ranking, maturity, and desire.  Our goal is to produce highly ranked juniors who can play provincials, then nationals, with an eye to getting a Division 1 US college scholarship and beyond.  Our experienced integrated team will work diligently to help each player develop a great foundation that will allow them to play at the highest level possible.

  Junior Excellence

Development Program

  Ages 8–10   Pro Approval Required

The Junior Excellence – Development program focuses on refining players' fundamentals to ensure a solid base from which a quality all-around game can be built. Players at this stage can rally with consistency and implement tactical skills to play smart points. Technical development informed by tactical considerations is prioritized.

Players in this select group are trained to excel in the highest-level tournament tennis at provincial and national competitions. Integrated performance training is the priority. Players refine every detail of the mental, physical, tactical, and technical parts of their game to create champions — with the end goal of college scholarships and professional tennis on the WTA or ATP tour.

ITF / WCT / JED / JET High Performance

Mon to Thurs: 11 am to 2 pm

Members: $290
Non-Members: $350

International Tennis Federation(ITF), World Class Tennis (WCT), Junior Excellence Training (JET) and Junior Excellence Development (JED) - 9 - 18 year olds registered in a high performance program. This 4 day camp will work well with your tournament schedule. Program designed for players to train strategically and with the intensity required for High performance. Footwork/Physical training included.

Green Ball Recreational Beginner / Intermediate (11 - 13 years)

Mon to Fri: 9 am to 12 pm

Members: $350
Non-Members: $425

Recreational players 11 - 13 years - great transition to full tennis court and possibly high performance in the future. Players currently in PRC Green ball level 1, 2 and 3 would register for this camp. Players are under the supervision of certified coaches. Includes some fitness activities

Red Ball - Beginner, Intermediate and High Performance

Mon to Fri: 12 pm to 2 pm

Members: $225
Non-Members: $275

Red - 5 - 7 years - All levels including beginner, intermediate and high performance. Fun is emphasized with players using scaled down equipment to have lots of fun with mini nets and easy play balls. Players are Under the supervision of certified coaches. Includes 2 hours on the court activities.

Green Ball High Performance

Mon to Fri: 2 pm to 5 pm

High Peformance Green Ball players 11 - 13 years - This high performance camp is designed for players registered in the PRC green ball level 4 or teams. Players are under the supervision of certified coaches. Includes some fitness activities .

Regulation Ball Recreational Beginner / Intermediate (13 + years)
