Junior Academy

Premier Racquet Clubs Junior Academy is focused on creating champions, allowing our players to earn scholarships, and on developing skills and techniques that young players can use throughout their recreational and competitive futures.

The PRC Jr. Academy is designed for the serious tennis players that are looking to raise their game. For these juniors our integrated development model allows us to develop all the skills necessary to have players reach their full potential.  On and off court support, high level peer competition, and annual planning are key to ensure a positive experience. When placing players into the Jr. Academy our Pros will evaluate: age, skill level, OTA ranking, maturity, and desire. Our goal is to produce highly ranked juniors who can play provincials, then nationals, with an eye to getting a Division 1 US college scholarship and beyond. Our experienced Tennis Pros will work diligently to help each player develop a great foundation that will allow them to play at the highest level possible.

Satellite Program:

7-9 yrs old, Pros Approval Required

The Satellite program focuses on developing players fundamentals to develop a solid base from which a quality all around game can be developed.  They can rally with consistency and are starting to play points.  Technical development informed by tactical considerations is prioritized.

Challenger Program:

10-13 yrs old, Pros Approval Required

The Challenger program focuses on honing the skills developed in the Satellite program.  Players technical skills are molded into a coherent gamestyle that allows them to maximize their specific skill set.  Tactical awareness is further enhanced so players win more matches.  Annual plans are developed to make sure players’ growth is kept on track.

Tour Program:

Advanced, 13-18 yrs old, Pros Approval Required

This group is our highest level of Jr. Player.  These players play high level tournament tennis (provincials & nationals).  Integrated performance training is the priority.  Players work to develop the mental, physical, tactical, and technical parts of their game to create champions.  The end goal of Tour players is to go on to receive college tennis scholarships and play professional tennis.
